Bench protocol

  1. 1.Add most of the final water volume to a beaker with stirring. Prepare 1X 0.5 M EDTA for a final batch of 500 mL.
  2. 2.Add EDTA disodium dihydrate gradually and begin mixing.
  3. 3.Adjust pH slowly using NaOH while measuring with a calibrated pH meter until the solution clears and reaches the target pH specified by your protocol.
  4. 4.Bring to final volume with water and mix thoroughly.
  5. 5.Filter or sterilize only if validated by your laboratory workflow.
